At Onify, we are passionate about simplifying and automating tasks that otherwise take up too much time. Since our inception, our motto has been to 'automate yourself out of a job'. Not to eliminate jobs, of course, but to free up time for what truly makes a difference.

Onify was founded in 2017 by Robert Lundsten, who, after many years as a solution architect, identified a clear need. Organizations were getting stuck in manual routines, duplicated efforts, and unnecessary logins. Why should the same information be updated in multiple places? And why should it take five clicks and three different systems to complete a simple task?

With extensive experience in object-based information management and process automation, Robert decided to create something better. Something simpler. Something smarter. The result was Onify, a platform where the user, not the systems, is at the center.

Key milestones on our journey

From the first lines of code in 2015 to today's Onify. Here are some important milestones that have shaped both the platform and our offering.

Our start

The platform began development in 2015, and the first customer solution was created for Ljusdal municipality. Onify was founded in 2017.

Technology gains momentum

Between 2018 and 2021, integrations were expanded, and the process engine was upgraded to BPMN 2.0, ensuring a stable and flexible platform.

From platform to service

In 2024, a new modern front-end will be launched and the Citizen Portal will be our first packaged municipal solution.

We level up

In 2025, Onify will grow with new colleagues and customers. The brand will be relaunched, and the Citizen Portal will become Onify Citizen.
