Insight 2025 points the way: business services are increasingly about clarity, accessibility, and digital workflows

This year’s results from SKR’s “Insikt” service survey show that municipal services for businesses remain at a high level. The overall NKI score remains at 74, and the majority of municipalities have improved their scores compared to previous years.

At the same time, the survey highlights something important. The areas that have improved the most over time are the ability to use digital services and the information available on the website. This says a lot about what businesses expect when interacting with the municipality.

For business owners, good service isn’t just about being treated well. It’s also about being able to easily find the right information, understand the status of a case, and get a comprehensive overview of their interactions with the municipality.

Here at Onify, we’re seeing a clear trend. More municipalities want to move away from scattered e-services, separate systems, and manual feedback toward a more cohesive digital onboarding process for entrepreneurs.

With Onify Residents and our business portal, the municipality can consolidate cases, permits, invoices, properties, contact information, and other relevant details into a single, secure portal. The solution builds on the municipality’s existing systems and makes it easier for business owners to track their interactions with the municipality in one place.

The Municipality of Karlskrona is a prime example of a municipality that is actively working on both service delivery and digital development. In this year’s Insikt survey, Karlskrona ranks first among Sweden’s larger municipalities, with a Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) of 82. The municipality has also taken the next step in its digital services by making the resident portal its new “My Pages.”

For us, this is an important signal. Improving business services isn’t about yet another standalone solution. It’s about bringing together what the municipality already has, making information more accessible, and creating a simpler point of entry for both business owners and residents.
